Really? I mean come on. All I’ve ever asked is for it to be easy just ONCE.
On the lighter side of all this, the Rays checked out of their hotel and that hotel is now booked. Good times.

Game One is in the books and one thing really stands out to me as a result. Philadelphia, fans and players, just seem to want it more. I don’t see any fire from these Rays right now. While I hate these cowbells in every way, that place was silent in the late innings for only being down by one run. Six days ago Upton and Longoria scared the shit out of me. Now it seems like Upton just doesn’t care, and Longoria is out of rookie magic. Don’t get my wrong, they are great players and will be for quite some time, but I feel as though they used it all up getting here. Meanwhile all is still quiet on the Howard front, and Chase is still heating up. I stand by Phillies in six games, but recent history suggests sweeps are popular these days.
In a few hours I’ll be headed to Tampa for Game Two, and back in less than 24 hours. I’m still looking for the best way to destory a cowbell. Suggestions will be taken until 8:00pm eastern Thursday.
Back in 2005 I was able to take a last second trip to Jacksonville to get within a few feet of the Super Bowl. In 2008 I am headed to Tampa (St Petersburg really) to attend Game Two of the World Series. Work has been pushed aside, plane and game tickets have been purchased, its officially on.
In other news, the World Series starts tomorrow night. More on this later.
